Here is a monster design I've been working on,as the title suggests, its a basilisk. I always liked the concept of the creature in general but most of the descriptions of it made it out to be a cockatrice or a giant snake and that to me isn't scary, but just plain silly. The other description of the beast is a giant multi limbed lizard,so I went with that. But legends never say how many limbs or what not. So a 12 ft long man eating monster has been reimagined.

awsome! but some mythologys (sp?) do believe they are giant lizard. all a basilisk is is an enlarged reptile (my freind name his GIANT eguana basilisk lol. he has HUGE teeth for a lizard)

Thank you for the correction, I forgot to mention that third description, it has been fixed. And if you didn't know a basilisk is also the species name of a type of lizard who can run on water. They look pretty silly.
